Hartmann valves GmbH
Hartmann today is a leading manufacturer of ball valves, pig valves and wellheads. Their construction, production, assembly and testing are performed exclusively at their factories in Celle and Ehlershausen, so they continue to offer top quality equipment. Maintaining an active dialogue with clients, together they are looking for suitable solutions and are therefore known as competent partners with more than 70 years of experience.
Evidence of their presence all over the world in crude oil, natural gas, petrochemical industry, energy, and geothermal energy and other renewable energy sources are their numerous references.
Oil and gas production is often done under difficult operating conditions. Adverse environmental impacts, partly contaminated and aggressive media with all kinds of pollution put specific requirements for the reliability of the equipment. Also in this area Hartmann valves are known for their solid construction and proper material selection for applications that require maximum safety and long service life. Their products are implemented on installations of PGNiG, EuroPolGaz or ExxonMobil.
In the petrochemical industry numerous chemical products are produced from gas and crude oil in the chemical processes. These high requirements are due to need for reliability of system components. Sometimes aggressive media, high temperatures and heavy duty cycles, are a challenge for the shut off devices. Hartmann ball valves are perfect in this case. An example would be an innovative installation transform ammonia factory Yara Brunsbüttel GmbH.
Hartmann products are also used successfully in the field of geothermal energy for over 22 years. One of the successes of the company Hartmann in this industry is starting in 2002 two geothermal wells in Bruchsal. Initial problems in installation caused by corrosion were fixed by installing high-quality Hartmann devices in place of the originally installed third-party devices.
Hartmann high-performance valves due to their special technical features are often selected for new, highly demanding applications, such as Power-to-Gas or power-gas as innovative renewable energy. Power-to-Gas is the process of conversion of electrical energy produced from renewable sources of energy to chemical energy. As one of the first companies in the world E.ON Gas Storage GmbH demonstrates in Falkenhagen (Germany) that renewable sources of energy can be stored in natural gas networks. In this installation, electricity and water are converted by electrolysis into hydrogen (up to 360 Nm3 / h), which is then fed to the gas network. E.ON Gas Storage GmbH has selected Hartmann company and their shut off valves for pure hydrogen, which guarantee a long life without need to handle maintenance.
